The Rotary Club of Los Gatos held its 46th Annual Great Race on April 14, and El Camino Health was the presenting sponsor.
The race kicked off at 8:30 a.m. and covered 4 miles in Vasona and Oak Meadow Parks. An aid station and many monitors helped ensure all participants stayed on course. Before the main event, the 1-Mile Kids Fun Run drew plenty of spectators to cheer on the young runners — including the San Jose Giants’ mascot, Gigante.
After the race, which was certified by USA Track and Field (USATF), the Fun & Fitness Fair offered sponsors’ booths, a bouncy house and the Waffle Roost Food Truck, selling waffles and coffee. Proceeds from the race support scholarships for local high school youth, as well as Los Gatos Rotary's local and global service projects.

"Running isn't just about physical activity. It is a powerful tool for fostering a sense of community. Running promotes mental and physical health and inspires individuals to lead healthier lives. Every step taken is a step towards a healthy body and a stronger community."
